Just back from Cap Juluca

Spent 5 days in Cap Juluca in a Junior Suite over January. Had an enjoyable stay; but noted that the greatest things about Anguilla are the beaches, water, people and restaurants. All of which are independant from the hotel. So before you drop USD 1K/night on a room, give that some thought. If you have any questions, feel free to email me.

Hi, Since the beaches are what would draw us there, which one would you suggest to stay on? Doesn't have to be the $$$ of Cap Juluca, but on a great beach....

Thanks!

Stay on Shoal Bay East. It's been voted one of the most beautiful beaches in the Caribbean - I agree! There are a number of moderately priced accomodations there (by Anguillian standards). I remember the blinding white sand, the countless seashells, and the unbelievable turquiose water! Check out www.news.ai - the website for the Anguilla local news - including links to hotels, restaurants, beaches, etc.

Hello Maneck.

How is the beach at Cap? I have been reviewing the updates on line at their website since the hurricane where they shovelled in a bunch of sand.. We were married there on the beach and it was heartbreaking to see the change in the landscape (but everyone was O.K.). Eden was so represented there for me and my husband and the people were what we wished WE could always be -relaxed and happy- I hope you enjoyed everything! Let me know if there is still an idyllic beach and if "Shoeshine" the dog gave you a visit....Thanx!
I second the suggestion for Shoal Bay. It was INCREDIBLE. The memories keep me warm on snowy, slushy drives to work.
