Just back from Bitter End Yacht Club!

I am very surprised to hear you say that. Being from Chicago, a city full of excellent eats, I often find myself very dissapointed with hotel food. My family and I were certainly not dissapointed by the food at Bitter End. Their food is not over-ambitious as many upscale resorts seem to be these days. Instead we were served a large variety of high quality, well-made meals. The Bitter End does an excellent job of varying their menu, since you are pretty much forced to eat there, since it is all-inclusive. In addition the wait staff were unbelievably accomodating. On Christmas, the restaraunt we were eating at did not have anything for my son, being the picky eater he is. I approached the hostess to ask if it would be possible to round up some PBJ for him. She said that that would not do and instead she went to the other restaurant and brought back a plate of plain pasta. By the end up of the week the waitress even remembered what drinks we all ordered. Overall, the food was quite impressive, take it from someone who has been dissapointed in the past. We will certainly be back!

BEYC's cusine reputation is well known throughout the caribb and it's not good. I have eaten there a couple of times over the years, each time vowed never to return again and avoid it like the plague. Glad to hear that someone found it more than satisfactory and hopefully this means a turn around for the well-earned reputation of the past.

Very glad to hear about the turnaround in the food. I should balance my negative comment about the food with what I thought was positive at BEYC. We thought the location was very nice, located on the sound, and the accomodations, particularly the Commodore suites were very nice. Certainly, one of the better midrange resorts in the BVI.
