My daughter is thinking about going to Jamaica for her honeymoon in October. I've been looking at the weather history and find that Jamaica is very rainy in Oct. Then I looked into Turks and Caicos...but know nothing about it. Where did you stay? Would you go back again and, if you did, where would you stay. They are stuck on going to an all inclusive. Did you check any of those out? And can you give me any pros and cons. Thanks!

Lynn,
If your daughter is thinking of T& C, she may want to check out Club Med. I've heard lots of good things about it from alot of people who've been there. I suspect that the weather may be similar to Jamaica though.
I just got back from Beaches resort. Wouldn't recommend that she stay there (especially for a honeymoon, too many kids, not romantic enough.
Pro's, beautiful beaches, great snorkeling and diving.
Con's not much else to do, very little shopping.
hope that helps.

Message to Lynne: My husband and I went to Jamaica on our honeymoon on October 15, 5 years ago. We loved it so much and met so many wonderful people that we have been back twice, again each time in October. We never had any rain. "October all over" as the rhyme goes... but maybe we have been lucky. We are creatures of habit and discovered Sandals all-inclusive. We like Sandals because it is the only all-inclusive that includes scuba diving at no extra charge. We have been to all 6 Sandals resorts on Jamaica, so can answer any questions about them. Some don't like the "big resort" atmosphere but we have always had a blast. We got to know several employees who we still correspond with and take care of us when we go back - traveling around with a Native was the best way to see and discover a lot. In addition, Sandals has a hurricane policy that if your vacation is interrupted (even for 1 day) by a hurrincane you get a replacement vacation, including airfare. However, this does not cover normal rain showers that may pop up.

Caroline, We are a family of 4 with a 12 yr old and an 8 yr old. We are looking at possibly going in Mid Jan 02 and wondering about the resort re: things you loved, and didn't like. Comments on the food, service, facility, beach, etc would be appreciated. bottom line, is it worth the $$$? Tx!
