January VS October? Help please

We have visited Aruba twice off a cruise ship and liked what we saw of Aruba. We plan a week on Aruba the end of January but after reading your options here are wondering if you prefer January or October? We are a mid-age couple with no children. Also we are wondering if anyone can give us a review of The Mill Resort versus the Holiday Inn. We are looking for mid price by or on the Beach.

I've been to Aruba twice in October, and absolutely loved it. Very few children will be on the island, because they are all in school. It really turns into a "couple" resort in the fall, so i'd so, go for the fall.

I'm sure, January will be the same way, but I can't speak from my own experience then.

In terms of hotel accomodations, you need to consider if you want to stay on the beach or not.

The Mill is NOT on the beach.

The Holiday Inn is on the beach, and right next to the Marriott. You can use any and all of the swimming pools at the resort. I think the Holiday Inn is more centrally located. I would choose the HOliday Inn over the Mill Resort, anyday.

Have you also looked into the Wyndham?

Have fun, you will enjoy your vacation wherever you stay.

We are beach people, so always stay on the beach, at the Marriott!

Hi Debbie, if expense is a factor, Oct may be the better deal over January...

The weather in January and October is exactly the same...I have been there both months. The number of peopl on the island may be slightly higher in January but only marginally.
IMO - -the mill is a dump and I would not stay there. The Holiday Inn is a much better choice and is right on the beach. Check all the other hotels - for a few dollars more you may be able to stay at the Sonesta, Wyndham or Bucuti. I personally prefer Eagle Beach over Palm Beach.
No matter where you stay - you will love Aruba!

I would also check out the Aruba Grand.
It has a nicer pool than Holiday Inn and is often cheaper.
October is in low season, January is in high season.
