Jamaica - Last Minute Travel This Weekend!

Hi - I am posting this for a friend was has asked me for travel advice. :-)

Does anyone know a good airfare deal from Philadelphia to Jamaica (Montego Bay) for this weekend? August 30 - September 3?

Are there any beachfront hotels that are under about $80 - $90 a night?

I will be in South Beach and my girlfriends want to take a quick jaunt to Negril to celebrate on of their work victories!

Any help you wonderful people can give me that I can pass along to them would be very much appreciated.

Thank you in advance.

I believe US Airways flies non-stop direct out of PA. However, these flights are usually very full.

I just flew US Air out of Charlotte to MoBay. Not a seat left on the plane.

Good luck finding a ticket. I would advise checking Expedia. Air Jamaica, Northwest, and Continental all fly there.

Try cvoa.com -- CVOA/Caribbean Villa Owners/Agents Association -- for last minute tix (toll-free 1.877.248.2862/talk to Lydia or Christina). They're available for a full spectrum of villas/cottage rentals (but rarely hotels/resorts) throughout Caribbean, incl.Jamaica, where you might be able to get a last minute 3 night minimum (we have just one cottage, Rasta Ranch),available on 3 night min in Bluefields at HORIZON,45 min.from Negril. For Negril, try RIU for packages/price you want. COCOLAPALM
is also priced right. There are cheaper places but few linked with air. Hope you make it down.

Plenty of beachfront hotels in that range, if you get the air separately.

Try Air Jamaica vacations. I'm pretty sure they fly out of Philia. If not you could drive to Baltimore. Stay in Montego Bay since it's such a short trip. Negril or Ochos Rios would be too much traveling for just a few days.

wait- no! dont stay in MoBay-- Negril is only 45 minutes away by bus on a very nice road.

Just returned from Negril on Friday. They seem to be doing a good bit of road/bridge construction, it took us a little over an hour to get to Negril...

Oops, sorry, meant to be more specific. The road work is actually going on in MoBay, once you get on the road to Negril, the road is great!!
