Jamaica in March---Too many Spring Breakers?
We are planning a honeymoon to Jamaica in late March. We are worried about running into too many college students? Any resort suggestions or suggestions on areas..ie..Negril vs. Ocho Rios???
We are 26 and 28.

Anniline--you will also have to worry about high school students on spring break. A lot of high school seniors from our area go to various all inclusive resorts in Jamaica. To avoid high schoolers and many college age kids ask if the hotel allows guests under 21 to stay alone without someone over 21. Not all resorts allow kids under 21 travelling alone. As far as other suggestions, I suggest doing a search using "honeymoon" and Jamaica and see what pops up! Good luck.

We were in Ocho Rios with our 11 & 12 yr kids in March '99. Stayed at a self contained resort called Grand Renissance. The "older kids" that were there were from all over the world, the hotel kept them busy with an assortment of activities and didn't put up with any "monkey business" This a a very large, professionaly run hotel and has everything on the property you could possibly want including water sports of all kinds. I was impressed with the staff and the security as I had the same reservations about "spring break" as you. I'm an over protective mom by all accounts and felt comfortable turning my kids loose after the first day! (Which I won't even do in my home town) Have fun and don't miss Dunn's River Falls!

If you have your heart set on Jamaica, why not consider one of the smaller hotels, off the beaten track and not so well-known. How about Jamaica Inn (www.jamaicainn.com) or Plantation Inn -- both in Ocho Rios, or The Enchanted Garden. There won't be any Spring Breakers there.
