Jamaica in June/July?

How is the weather in Jamaica in June/July? This will be my first visit to Jamaica and would like to hear from someone who has visited during these months. Thanks in advance!

We were in Jamaica last mid-July for 6 nights. Had great weather. Was actually more pleasant than Chicago.
Seems many folks from the Southen US.
Go to the island to escape the heat.
Go figure!

We were there in July a few years back and it is hot! But without that stuffy feel. An afternoon raineach day was a nice refreshing break - smeed to cool things a tad.

Have a great time!

June is traditionally the rainy month on island, but this last year,May was rainy as well. July is traditionally hot and sunny -- look for a place with a/c. The South Coast is also sunnier than North, with Port Antonio end of island the rainiest and therefore, the lushest and most Nature/ El Nino is still on so all traditional bets are off,too...

We went to Jamaica in the middle of June two years ago and had incredible weather.
It sprinkled one day for about 2 minutes and the sun came back out. Other then that the sun was always out. It was hot but there was always a trade wind, we loved it.

I found this on a Web Site. Of coarse you can't predict the weather!

Temperature:
There is little seasonal change in average daily temperatures in the lower regions of Jamaica where the majority of the population resides. Readings at St. George's College Station, Kingston:

July Average Low at 75.1 degrees F, Average High at 90.7 degrees F
January Average Low at 69.1 degree F, Average High at 86.7 degrees F
Temperatures are 10 to 20 degrees F cooler in the highlands, but the summits of the Blue Mountains have seen light frosts on winter nights.

Rainfall:
Higher than average rainfall occurs during September to October, followed by May to June. The major dry period is from January to March. The average annual rainfall of 77.1 inches is strongly influenced by the terrain. The northeast of the island receives the most rain. Areas of the Western end also receive high rainfall
beachburn,

June averages 5.5 inches rain for the month at Montego Bay, per The Weather Channel, and July averages 2.9 inches. Was there last July and had some afternoon showers on 2 or 3 days, but mornings were perfect. Afternoons were, too, because the showers meant it was time to take naps and relax out of the sun.
Last 2 days we were there were just about the best we've had in Jamaica (8 trips). Humidity dropped, breezes were just right for natural air conditioning.
Planning on going again this July, too.
