Jamaica first time - which hotel in Montego Bay?
 

My husband and I and another couple will be traveling to Jamaica for 3 days. We have narrowed it down to 3 hotels in Montego Bay area. The hotels we are looking at are; Grand Paladium, Gran Bahia Principe and the Riu Montego Bay. Have any of you been to any of these and do you have any opinions on them? From my research it looks like Grand Paladium doesn't have much of a beach. I am looking for a hotel that has a nice beach so i am not sure on this one. Thanks!

No, i haven't. A friend of mine has deals on these three hotels.

Although not a Riu fan I would think teh Riu fro three days as you would spend less time on the road getting to your hotel. All three are fairly generic AI's but to each their own.

fyi - the Gran Bahia is about 1 1/2 to 2 Hrs away. I had some friends stay there and they were by no means blown away. Try stretch out your stay a couple of days and go to Negril.

I'm currently booked for 3-days at Sandals RC, after spending a week at Royal Plantation in Ocho Rios. Now thinking maybe find something that isn't AI to possibly save money plus to justify getting off property and seeing a little bit of MB and possibly a day trip to Negril
