Depends on your preference. We took the helicopter route, as we wanted to maximize our time at the resort. Plus I can tend to get a little carsick when I'm sitting in the backseat of a vehicle, which was also a deciding factor. I don't know how long a water taxi would be, but I imagine it would be quite beautiful to see the whole west coast of St. Lucia. I loved doing the helicopter because coming in for a landing between the two Pitons was an unforgettable moment.
Taking a regular taxi would provide some nice down time between the stress of travel and arriving at the Jalousie. The rain forest of st. lucia is also quite beautiful. Again, it all depends on your preference.

The helicopter is the way to go, fast fun and a bit of an adventure. You will not regret the helicopter and will see when you are at Jalousie that many people who don't arrive by helicopter do leave by helicopter once they see it land and hear about it from those who took it!

In 2002 it was $150 RT, and even though it's not inexpensive, it is still worth it. www.stluciahelicopters.com
Our flight landed and they helped us get through customs with our luggage in 10 minutes, and then we turned around and walked right onto the copter and we were landing at Jalousie 5 minutes later, with a welcome cocktail waiting. The others who took the bus were still waiting for their luggage, so they told us later.

Yes, when my partner and I took it two years ago it was $75pp each way. Expensive, yes, but worth it. It also meant that we could stay an extra two hours at the resort on the morning of our departure (rather than taking the 2 hour taxi ride, arriving dissheveled at the airport), which made it worth the price in our books.
