Jalousie Hilton is really nice. My only comment is to watch out for the hidden costs. Things like the 1/2 day island tour are WAY overpriced ($200 per person through the Hilton v. $20 per person for the same itinerary with a cab driver and another couple). BANG, the restaurant next to the Hilton is a lot of fun, but don't expect great food anywhere on St. Lucia. You could also go to Dasheen at Ladera for one dinner. Go at sunset and ask for a table near the edge of the restaurant.
As far as other islands go, Barbados is near St. Lucia and is one of my favorite islands. The Royal Pavillion is the way to go, assuming that you (like everyone else) can't afford the Sandy Lane.
Have a great time.

I have to agree with Jackie---Barbados is probably a good bet because you may have to fly through there anyway. (we did from JFK). If not, there are definitly easy and cheap flights to Barbados. I know they offered day trips via boat to Martinique as well, so that is maybe a thought.
The Hilton was great-although I agree with the hidden costs too. It is really annoying that they charge you full amount for the taxi, even though you go with 2 or 3 other couples! We learned from the driver that the Hilton gets 10% of their fare, so that may explain it!
Even though we don't love to sit on the beach normally, it was a perfect spot to sit on the beach and relax!! The snorkeling was good and the location just spectacular. Have fun!

I have planned my honeymoon for May of 2003. I am using Hilton Points as well (6 nights). My finance and I are also interested in going to another island. As of now, we have planned to go to Tobago and stay at the Hilton Tobago. I am having problems with airtravel, but most of the problems are due to the fact that it is too far in advance to schedule flights.
