is there a beachfront resort not topless and about 250-300 per night?

looking for any info regarding st. barts. do not want to be on a topless beach, would like to be beach front, also curious as to rainfall in early to mid april. have been to anguilla twice, aruba, caymen, bvi, and many day trips to other islands. thanks!!!

If you do not want to be on a topless beach then St. Bart's is not the vacation spot for you because all of the beaches--and the pools--are topless. There are two or three beaches that allow full nudity.

Want non topless beach , go to a British or American island , not a French one. St.Bart is FABULOUS !

Have I missed something? What's the problem with topless?

and that's just the men :-)

"carol" is an alias.
C'mon, Tipper, we know it's you.
Please have Algore grow that beard again before you go to the Caribbean. It was a touch of style on the old codger.

Thank you all for your replys. carol s not an alias. i just am someone who is looking for honest information and not wanting to go somewhere i don't want to be. elinor- you are not missing a thing, because i was not judgemental, if asking about topless translates to you that it means something is wrong with it, then that is only your incorrect opinion. maybe what i was wrong was that i could actually get real info from this source with the sarcasm. thanks SBHlover for a real answer. carol

Carol - you were making it very clear that you wanted to avoid topless beaches - therefore you clearly DO have a problem with it, so I am not reaching incorrect opinions. No need to be defensive about it - I am only too aware there are a lot of people who, sadly, have problems with the bodies given to them.
However, as SBHlover correctly says, St Barts is not for you, nor is Antigua, Grenada, St Martin, Sint Maarten, Guadeloupe, Tobago, Jamaica or Martinique - in fact the only places you'll feel comfortable are the very Americanised islands and Barbados (very religious). I'm surprised you coped with the BVI's which are all OK with toplessness.
Extraordinary that the country condemning tanned boobs and public breastfeeding is the same one which produces almost 90% of the world' pornography. LOL.

Elinor,
You happen to be wrong about toplessness in the BVI. It is against the law and is frowned upon by the local poplulation. It's considered RUDE.
That doesn't mean that there aren't out of the way beaches where you can get away with it (as I have) but it is not the norm.
It seems to me that it is polite to just follow local custom. And it also seems to me that one's level of comfort with public nudity is not necessarily a barometer of prudishness. It's personal choice so please just answer Carol's question about St Barts and don't judge her.

Carol,
If you do not want to be on a beach with topless women ST Barths is not for you. All beaches and pools do have topless women and 2 of the best beaches on the island are clothing optional so you may see more than topless there.
If you can get over the topless thing though it is in my opinion the most beautiful island in the caribbean. The food, people , beaches, accomodations are incredible. There are many hotels that are beachfront..Eden Rock, Isle de France and Guanahani just to name a few. There are a few sites such as ST-Barths.com that can give you all the info on the island you would want. Renting a villa is also popular. Good luck with whatever you decide to do..

to joy and katie, thanks so much for a true reply to my inquiry. i appreciated being able to find out if this is the case at all beaches(and pools). i did not know what to expect and am just as happy to spend my 6000-7000 grand on another island. it does sound as though it is a beautiful place. i also agree that topless is not the case in tortola, nor did i see it on beaches we sailed to on jost van dyke or virgin gorda. oh well, i will check out the sites you mentioned for info and agian thanks so much for your sincere reply.
