Is the Hilton HHonors Program worth it??

I will be staying at the Jalousie Hilton in November and my husband wants me to join the Hilton HHonours Program. Would it be worth it??? Can anyone tell me their experiences with Hilton HHonors???

Hilton HHonours is free, and if you stay at the Hilton from time to time, it's worth it. You can get upgrades, special preferences, free movies, dinner discounts and free nights just as you do airline miles.
I've used it several times without a problem.
Like various airlines have airmiles schemes, several hotels have their own reward scheme.
And yes, I would say it is definately worth it.
In fact I have (again) booked a "reward" superior room at London Gatwick Hilton, on the eve of our annual trip to Anguilla.

It is free, so take it, you will be amazed how quickly the points adds up and how you can benefit.

There's no downside so you may as well join. It's free and you even get some limited benefits/amenities just for joining--i.e. a free morning newspaper, spouse stays free, etc.

Hilton is probably the easiest hotel program to accumulate points too. Earn 10,000 just by signing up for their credit card. If you have orphaned miles in a frequent flier program, you can transfer them to Hilton, where they're worth twice a much. 150,000 pts earns you 6 free nights at the Jalousie.

I was able to get a club level room at the New York Hilton for 180.00 per night this past August because of my gold Hilton Honours card. It does indeed have its priveleges. I joined the honour program maybe a year and a half ago, stayed at Hiltons in the US maybe four/five times since joining, accumulated some points AND miles on AA, then received the gold card in the mail the other day - you really can't loose. And Hilton does have some good properties worldwide. I also have the Marriott rewards program and have been a member of that for alot longer than Hilton and have received fewer rewards with Marriott than with Hilton.

I agree with the other posts....I have been a member of Hilton Honors for years and to my knowledge is the Only major hotel program that let you "double dip" that is you can earn both hotel points and airline points for the same stay. I was able to redeem 100,000 Hilton points for a 7day6night stay at the Hilton Hawaiian Village in Oahu in July 2001. Join, I think that you will be pleased with the program.
