Is it a good idea to go to a resort that is scheduled to be finished the month before you arrive?

What are your thoughts on picking a brand new hotel that has just opened within the month that you plan to go?

My experience has been that "island time" applies to a lot of things! I'd find another nice place to stay, just to make sure. If you let us know which island you're visiting, I'm sure someone on the BB can suggest lodging!

I'm a chicken at heart! I'd wait at least 6 months to a year myself. Too many "bugs" that have to be worked out on a new place.
