Insects, snakes, and spiders in Cozumel/Playadelcarmen/Tulum?

Just like to know about creepy crawlers in this part of Mexico. Will I need a bug repellent? What about snakes and spiders? Any other animal I need to be concerned about? Thanks.

LOL - your post made me smile because I'm the exact same way. I'm glad to say, however, we've been to all three places (staying in PDC about 4-5 times) and I've never once seen a snake or any large spiders. The worst I've seen was mosquitos and even then they were not unbearable.
