Information Needed - Club Med Colombus Isle
Hi,
Has anyone been here? Any advice? We're trying to decide between this club and the one on Turks & Caicos. We're a middle aged couple looking for a fun vacation, but we're concerned that we're too old for Club Med. Help!
Thanks,
Jenny

Hi Jenny:

Columbus is a absolutely gorgeous place but it is not supposed to reopen until Dec 7.

Columbus is almost 100% couples of all ages. You will have a great time.

See for more details:

http://www.blackpearls.net/columbus.html
Jenny; If that is the one on San Salvador, it is really nice. I did reef surveys off the shores of "San Sal" as the local Bahamians nickname the island, and the reefs are truly beautiful. You'll want to go snorkeling or scuba dive if you're certified. We rented a car and island explored. It's remote and desolate, especially down the eastern side. We stayed at Riding Rock Inn, a place for scuba divers only. The highway runs right across the landing strip, so be sure to look both ways...the pleasures of a laid back island. Robert

Thanks, Lara and Robert. After much contemplation, we chose Columbus Isle. Looking forward to getting away!
Jenny,
Did you go? Are you back? How was it!

Considering this resort in late spring with kids. Not concerned about a kids' club -- I don't think there is one. How was the food? Was it crowded?

Thanks,

Jim
