Info about the Holiday Inn Aruba
Hi,
Can anyone tell me about the Holiday Inn Aruba Beach Resort in Aruba. My girlfriend and I are planning a trip to Aruba and was wondering if anyone could provide us with some info on this resort. Also, any tips that we should know before hand. We are planning to go in December, How is that time of the year? Any info you can provide would be a big help.
Thanks

The Holiday Inn is on Palm Beach. It's an older resort; it looks like it was built in the 60's or early 70's. It's beach is beautiful but more crowded than many of the other Palm Beach resorts. It has an open-air lobby.
Bottom Line: It looks like a decent place in a good location that needs to be renovated.

I had a great time at the holiday inn in Aruba. The beach is nice and the pool is great. Watch out for the sun which is a killer. I was there in Jan of 98 and the weather was great. The hotel next door has a great little outdoor restaurant and a great casino.

We spent Nov 11,12 1999 there. The rooms
were renovated and only $115 a night including a buffet breakfast which was typical Dennys. All of the watersports in the area is based there. The beach is very nice and the location great. You can rent a National car there. There is a casino on site with a live $15-30 hold-em game and $1-5 7card stud game every night. We saw somebody win $5,000 playing Carribean stud with a straight flush. They have theme nights a couple of nights during the week. The rooms all have electronic card keys and in-room safes which was a plus. We have been to Aruba 4 times on timeshares and usually add a few days which is why we were at the Holiday Inn. We will definitely go back there the next time we are in Aruba.
