I entered a book contest and entered my picture book on T&C and Bahamas
Hello my Fodor's friends! I entered a blurb.com book contest, and the top 15 books voted get judged for a prize. I entered my picture book "World's Best Beaches: Turks & Caicos and Bahamas". You do have to sign in to vote (as you would for shutterfly and kodak and other sights) but you'll be rewarded by viewing 120 pages of my luscious (of course my opinion!) pictures.
Please vote for it! 8-)

Voted for your book. Really beautiful...good work! Does Blurb have photo editing tools like crop, enhance, etc? I use MyPublisher which is very good but is a level lower than Blurb. I do not use Photoshop (which I should) so I need the photo editing tools within the book publishing program. If I could crop in Blurb I certainly would use it for my next book.

I just looked through you lovely book and then signed up to vote for it. Good luck!
You've got some wonderful photos there, including some surprises. I didn't know there was a blue hole in T&C, for example!

Elainee: it appears to me that the only tool they have is a magnify and crop tool. Overall, I find the books to be professional and could see them at a bookstore self quality. You still have to use photoshop to get the colors and to fix anything before downloading them to Blurb.
KVR: having books are awesome! and fun. and easier to share with friends and family. With all of your trips, make books out of them and leave them on your coffee table-it would be cool!
kellybeaches: I'm working on Caribbean 2011 as we write! ;-)
ejcrowe: With your descriptions, you'd make great books!
mymoosie: if you come meet me for conch, I'll show you the hard copies! (after you're over your cold!)
To all: thanks so much for your votes! I'll keep everyone posted!

Blamona, I would love to do that. Believe it or not I'm intemidated by learning new things on the computer. Once I do it, I'm fine. I wished someone could show me first. I learn better from visual hands on that reading the instructions.

I love the photo books too. I do all my albums through KodakGallery now. With all the pictures I take, it saves so much room, and I love that you can enlarge the pictures to full page. It's worth doing!
