It is listed as one of the top resorts in the world and if you play golf there is the "leg of the dog" or something like that..a course world famous for golfers.. Also discovered there is a new Kandella show at Altos de Chavon (musical show, 99% in spanish) which we hope to go to when we are in La Romana...but we will be at the Casa del Mar. Google CDC and you will find their site.. The La Romana airport is new. CDC does/or did have their own private airport. At one time Oscar de Larenta and Michael Jackson had homes there...but I think they've moved on to Punta Cana.Any questions about La Romana please write.. [email protected]

Parrot Mom-Thank you once again. I knew about the great golf-including teeth of the dog but had questions about restaurants, stuff to do etc.
The website you gave me provided all of that information. We are statying at Casa de Campo on the all inclusive.

We took a van in town to La Romana..a guide attached himself to us...lol. We wanted to go to the supermarket and buy Domnican Coffee beans right off the shelf.(we bought ten bags)..and 151 proof rum (it a modern and clean a supermarket as you will find in your town or city).. we saw the local church, visited the flea market, bought an ice cream and sat in the Zolca for a while..This January want to explore the town a little more..
