I am looking for a perfect little island
we are looking for secluded island with no big resorts, no nightlife but with a clear water and a beautiful beach with a soft sand all around the island where we can walk and see at most only a few people. we love walking, snorkeling and peacful places. Do you know of such a place?

Yes, Tiamo Resort in South Andros, Bahamas. In Google type out "Tiamo Resort, Andros Bahamas". Where2Stay has more information and travelers reviews. Also, Ti Kaye Village Resort in St. Lucia in a secluded area of the island--marine reserve below hotel--fantastic views. Again in Google type out and see reviews and also go to scubatreks.com--click on Ti Kaye.

The BVI might be what you are looking for. We stayed in Tortola and took day trips to Virgin Gorda and Peter Island. I think a stay at Peter Island would be a perfect vacation. It was secluded and the beach and resort were beautiful. They provide a ferry service to Tortola if you wanted to take day trips to other islands and go into town for some variety. Virgin Gorda would also be wonderful. We did a day sailing trip and went snorkling at 3 different trips, it was pleasant, but not the best snorkling I've ever done.

All those Islands mentioned before are fine, but alot of cruise ships stop at most of those ports and those that don't are just a ferry ride away from day trippers. If you REALLY want a secluded Island, try Tobago. There are dozens of secret beaches around the island, it is untouched by the commercialism of tourism but has all the amenities you would need.

I just returned from a wonderful vacation in Virgin Gorda. It's tranquil and relaxing. You can opt to participate in activities such as island hopping, snorkeling, water skiing, hiking, and scuba diving. If you want to helicopter to St. Thomas to golf for an afternoon, it would be a pricey option. Or just veg and sunbathe on the beautiful beaches. Good luck!

Small cruise ships do stop at St. John and Virgin Gorda but not in the summer months. St. John has many daytrippers from St. Thomas. Anguilla is a stop for the Windjammers. You won't do much walking around St. John or the BVI's but you can rent a jeep for beach hopping. Guana Island or Cooper Island are more secluded than Tortola for example. Anguilla has longer beaches but not so much snorkling. None really have major impact by crise ships and are still peaceful but even the popular cruise stops have some beaches and resorts that are just what you might want. You might try Windmills in the Turks and Caicos or Meridian Club. They are truly secluded.

Ambergris Caye off Belize?
I don't think this place fits Olga's description of a beautiful beach with a soft sand all around the island where she can walk and see at most only a few people.
There are no nice beaches on Ambergris. this place has too many tourists already and sometimes is very crowded in a high season. It has a nice snorkeling
