hyatt or westin?

planning a trip to GC in November. Which hotel would you reccomend?

Westin. Do a search using Cayman as a keyword and you'll get lots of useful info.

Westin. The Westin is right on 7 Mile Beach. While the Hyatt is beautiful - it's across the road from the beach. I'd also spring for the extra money for ocean view - it's wonderful!

Actually part of the Hyatt is directly on the beach, but that part is overpriced IMHO. All of the Westin is directly on its beach, which is nicer and much wider. Hyatt is a good choice if you like a big resort type feel and there are many non-hotel restaurant choices with a couple minutes walk. Both are beautiful, and should be seen to be appreciated.

No one has mentioned that the Westin is twice as expensive as the Hyatt. For most that is a consideration

Juli is WAY confused. Rack rates this season for rooms at the Hyatt start at $210, and rooms at the Westin start at $195. Check www.caymanvacations.com to verify. Of course you can get package deals for a fraction of rack rates. I've stayed at both hotels, I usually pick the one that I can get cheapest, and I've never paid rack rate.
