Hyatt or Lodge Kura Hulanda?

Heading to Curacao next week and wondering whether guys on this forum would recommend the Hyatt or Lodge Kura Hulanda? We are looking for a beautiful, relaxing holiday and some opportunities to go snorkeling.

Grateful for any restaurant and day trip ideas too. Also how much does car hire work out at per day and can you order it for just one or two days to the hotel?

Many thanks

Dear Ginger,

It would be a pleasure to may welcome you to Lodge Kura Hulanda & Beach Club a true paradise for snorkeling, diving and to relax. We have our own dive shop down at the beach that organizes snorkel trips and dives. We have our daily shuttle which goes 3 times a day to our sister property in downtown Willemstad, this shuttle service is complimentary and you can take this to explore the other side of the island. Of course you can allways rent a car and yes it is also possible to rent it just for 1 or 2 days. The price of a rental car is aproximately US$ 50.00 per day and we would reccommend the car rental company Hertz, we work closely with them and you can make a reservation for the car at our front desk.

If you need any additional information or if you have any other questions please feel free to contact me directly:

With warm regards from sunny Curacao,

Anouk Derksema

Read the reviews on Trip advisor and decide which one fits your need.

Both are amazing! A small advantage that Hyatt has is that it is brand new. But I recommend any of the two.

I'll toss my hat in for Lodge Kura Hulanda. We stayed a couple of years ago and really loved it. That end of the island is very quiet with wonderful snorkeling.

The food at the lodge was very good and the service as well.

Def. rent a car.

Peace, Greenie

Kura Hulanda is simply gorgeous, the beach is nice with palapas for shade and servers to bring you drinks or food, and the on-site dive shop is excellent. The reef off the beach is the best on the island, IMHO. It is a lovely, peaceful spot off the beaten path with great diving and a friendly staff. It is, however, a long drive to Willemstad, so if you want more action, this might not meet your needs.
