Hurricane Season : In August Better the Bahamas (Great Exuma) or Anguilla ?
Hello,I have read that the NOAA predicts near normal or ABOVE normal Atlantic Hurricane Season.
To risk less (as far as possible) better the Bahamas (Great Exuma)or Anguilla ?
Could you tell me some comment about the Four Seasons Great Exuma ?
Beach (less or more beautiful than Anguilla), rooms....
Thank you very much.

well, you can look at the historical statistics for each island to see which has had direct hits more time, but honestly, I don't think that has much bearing between these two destinations. Chances are very, very low that any island you choose will be in the direct path of a hurricane at the exact moment you're on the island. So my advice is to ignore the hurricane factor and choose the destination that has more appeal to you.

Have you checked Four Seasons reports on Trip Advisor? May be helpful.
I agree abt hurricane possibilities-- about equal, but unlikely. (We once had to be evacuated from St John in October though!)

No one can predict. I've taken many Caribbean vacations during hurricane season and they've never been disrupted by a hurricane. I've had a couple of vacation destinations changed because a hurricane hit those islands (Grand Cayman and Harbour Island, Bahamas) before our trip. The hotels we were to stay at had to close to repair some damage done. If you want peace of mind, you should get travel insurance.
