Virginia-

What site are you referring too?

I've been on a few different forums and it sounds like Aruba had a lot of flooding.

The last report anyone from Aruba posted on "stormcarib" was dated October 14 which indicated lots of rain and wind. Nothing more since that report.

Anyone have an update on the conditions on Palm Beach? I'll be at the Hyatt for week starting on the 26th.

My husband and I were at the Marriot Surf Club from 11th-18th. Omar blew into town on Monday night and pretty much didn't leave completely until Thursday. Our beach was completely trashed-they closed it off. They made remarkable progress cleaning it up in the few remaining days that we were there. However, I'm not sure how long it will take to completely clear up all of the debris. The streets were flooded initially, but by Sat when we left there were only random patches of water left on the way to the airport. I heard the the other beaches down the line didn't have as much damage/debris that we did. It was pretty upsetting to lose the beach, but we didn't lose power and had food, drinks and the pool. It could have been a lot worse. So much for "It never rains in Aruba!"

Wow, I'm impressed. If I would have gone through something like that I would be either really ticked off or devasted that my vacation was ruined. You have a great attitude!
