I am so tired of hearing about all the supposed crime stats of the USVI's. This issue comes up atleast every 2 weeks and it's getting annoying and played out. <BR><BR>Vicki didn't ask about St. Croix, she asked about St. John. <BR><BR>Secondly, is there crime there, well yes. Just like any other place. I dare any one of you to find a populated place in this world where no crime has ever been committed. And if you can find it, perhaps those of you droning off your statistics should vacation there! <BR><BR>Use common sense, lock your doors, watch your valuables etc. But don't be afraid to go and don't be afraid when your there. It is a truly beautiful place with friendly people and should not be missed!

I am going to ST John on my honeymoon in June and had not even thought about problems with crime until i read these postings. From what I can gather here, some people seem frightened by a place that has ANY history of crime. I agree with the last poster - that crime is going to exist in any populated location. I live right outside of Washington D.C. and there are stories on the news EVERY day about the crime there but I have never had a problem walking around there at night. You just have to have common sense.

"<BR><BR>As a regular visitor to the oft-cited-here-for-crime Jamaica, I must agree.<BR><BR>If the fact that crime exists somewhere will keep you from going, your list of possibilities for vacation will be awfully short.
