How much $$$$ is Aruba

I'm Looking to go to Aruba in November but I have heard it is pretty costly as far as resturants, drinks, watersports etc. Should I plan to spend a boatload of $$ if I go, or is like anywhere else? I was looking at staying at the Radisson......thanks

Radisson is a great choice. We stayed there and loved it. Aruba is not super expensive. I found all the restaurants and watersports to be very reasonable. Hotel rates too. The only thing I found to be expensive were drinks.

I think it depends on where you live and what you are used to paying for things. I live bear Philadelphia and have also travelled to many islands in the Caribbean and I found Aruba to be one of the more reasonable islands for prices. Definitely not as expensive as Barbados, Grand Cayman or Turks & Caicos. I found the prices in restaurants to be no more expensive than Phildelphia and in some cases, more reasonable than high-end Philly restaurants. Now, this was three years ago, but in Aruba Pina Coladas could be had for $5 and I was paying about $10 in T & C. We had very nice dinners for two with drinks and/or wine for about $100. But if you are not used to East Coast or Caribbean prices, you might think it was expensive, but Aruba has lots of inexpensive dining options as well. Also, hard to know what a "boatload of money" is to you. One person's boatload is only another person's walletfull.

I agree with Eileen and Kristen. I just returned from the Radisson and found the prices there and elsewhere on the island to be reasonable in comparison to some other islands we have visited. I also agree that the Radisson is a get place to stay. We visited the other comparable hotels when we were there and thought the Rad's grounds, pools and ambiance to be the best by far. Have fun!
