How many days in Curacao?

My wife and I plan on visiting Curacao for 3 nights and Aruba for nights? Do you think 3 days in Curacao is enough or should we spend more time in Curacao and less time in Aruba. We do enjoy nightlife but are also looking for culture which seems more prevelent in Curacao. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Curacao is our favorite islands, so for us, we could never have enough time there. Depending on what you and your wife are interested in seeing, I would say at least three days. Our favorite things to do and see:
-Knip Bay for snorkling, swimming and soaking up a few rays.
-Sunset cruises
-Chistoffel Park
-Trolley Tours
-Shopping
-Curacao Liqeuer Distillery - we love the free samples! Also, the Amstel brewery.
-The Seaquarium -open every day, it cost us around $15 for the two of us.
-The hato caves

The food is great and there is nightlife. We stayed at the Marriott and spent several nights down at the bar on the beach. However, there is a lot offered throughout the island. Friday nights, the locals rent buses and party on the buses as they are going down the roads. You will see people dancing and drinking and waving to you. Curacao has it all!

Thanks for the info. Curacao seems better suited for couples than Aruba and has alot to do. We basically have 7 nights. I am now thinking about 4 nights in Curacao and 3 in Aruba. Have you been to Aruba?

Not yet. People have said we need to go to see the contrast. We will go at some point, mostly because we know the chances are better of good weather at the beaches anywhere in the ABC islands. Hope that we will be reading a trip when you get home.

I too vote for 4 days in Curacao and 3 in Aruba. We honeymooned in Curacao and actually exteneded our trip because we loved the island and the Marriott so much. We did fly to Aruba for a day and we couldn't wait to get back to Curacao. Aruba to us felt like Daytona beach Florida..Very commercial and not like an island. Curacao has so much culture, caribbean feel and we couldn't wait to return. I know Curacao is going to become the next big buzz..It is still undiscovered as far as tourism and is on the rise. You will love Curacao!!

Thanks for the info. The more I look into it, I think we should just opt to stay in Curacao the entire time. We are a young couple celebrating our 1st anniversary and I was thinking I like all that Curacao has to offer but wouldn't mind partying a lil bit in Aruba to end the trip. Any thoughts?

Aruba is like a little Las Vegas and yeah..I would recommend it for young couples. Afterall, don't we all love Vegas ?? Curacao is beautiful...especially if you explore the west part of the island with a car. I HAVE to recommend a restaurant out there on the road to Knipp called JANCHIES (I think I spelled it right) Its an outdoor type restaurants with cut little chirping birds all over the place....its right off the main road, so you cant miss it....you have to drive ALL the way down to the other side of the island though to see it. DELICIOUS fresh fish and food....awesome stuff. PS...I was born in Curacao..my parents too and my grandparents as well. Will be there in August with my new wife to show her what it's all about for the first time. HAVE FUN !

What dates will you be out there? Does anybody know if you really need a 4WD in Curacao or would a car be sufficient. I have been told that in Aruba, you need a 4WD to get around to some parts of the island. I am not too sure about Curacao. Also, if anyone had any sites to get good deals on rentals out in Aruba and Curacao.
