How is Beach at Sebastians????

I'm going there in January-is it swimmable/good for snorkeling at all in winter? Are there other beaches closeby that are swimmable/good for snorkeling?
Is there anything to see snorkeling at their beach?

I assume you are referring to Sebastians in Tortola? If so, we were there in Feb. for breakfast (twice!) and loved it. I would stay there if we go back. The hotel rooms are just feet from the ocean with a balcony. Pelicans are diving everywhere. It did not look like a swimming beach as I recall that it was rocky. I doubt you could snorkel there but this would not keep me from staying there are there are many beaches close by where you can snorkel. You will need to rent a jeep to really see and enjoy all of the island.

Yes I am referring to Tortola-sorry. Are these beaches with snorkeling walking distance if we dont' feel like driving anywhere? How did the villas look-we were thinking of staying in one of those for only $25 more a night!

see my trip report posted today. Beach is okay, but we prefered smugglers.

The difference between the junior suite and the hotel room: JS has cable TV, and a small kitchen, Hotel room doesn't. However, villas are up the road over rocks. So you just have to decide which is more important, TV or beach? We didn't mind at all walking up and down the little hill. Glad we had the jr. suite.
