How do I get to Jost Van Dyke from Tortola for New Year's Eve?

Can anyone help me? Do I have to go through St. John? I can't seem to find any info? Also, will I need a passport to travel between bvi and usvi?

how much will something like this cost?

Timo,

Your best bet to find this type of information is to go to http://www.traveltalk.com/cgi-bin/ta...rib/bvi/travel

You need passport to go to the British Virgin Islands. There are ferrys between the Islands but I know nothing about how and when they run. The website previously indicated should give you the info since both Islands are in the BVIs

Both JVD & Tortola are in the BVI. We took Glenn's Pleasure Boats in Cane Garden Bay on Tortola across to JVD. $20.00 per person RT & about a 10 minute power boat ride BUT that was not on New Years Eve! Sounds like there will be so many people there you will be able to walk because the boats will be solid across! Seriously unless you know someone you'll have to play it by ear. Have fun.....or skip JVD & go to Bomba's!

I agree with Peggy--Although Foxy's is alot of fun-esp. on New Years--if you don't have a boat to stay on or a room reserved there, you'll have to sleep on the beach (but maybe you don't mind that...! We flew into Beef Island (Virgin Gorda) and took a taxi to town and then a 10 min ferry ride over--very easy to do and very cheap.

Good luck!
