Hotels in St. Kitts

We are considering a visit to island of St. Kitts. Have looked at Frigate Bay Resort or Timothy Beach Resort. Looking for a smaller resort, caribbean feel. Any suggestions re: dining, cleanliness, maintenance at either of these hotels. Thanks

Frigate Bay Resort is not on the beach and is now a walk through construction and private property. Timothy Beach Resort is the only resort directly on the Caribbean Beach. It is a condo hotel with studios to full 2 bdrm condo's. Very clean and very friendly staff with open air restaurant over looking the beach and beautiful sunsets. Watersports and beach bars available outside the restaurant. There are 3 restaurants within walking distance and the golf course across from the(very large)Marriott within walking distance.

We stayed at Timothy Beach about 3 years ago and enjoyed it. If you want a caribbean feel and a smaller resort as opposed to say one of the big chains, you will like it. We found it clean and well maintained. The restaurant was fine too.

Thanks for your advice. Sounds like it could be just what we are looking for.

We did not like TBR, Condo's in the same area looked nice. The Atlantic side is very beautiful !! I did not get a carribbean feel at all from Timothy Beach. Also check on beach conditions at TBR before you book it.
