Hotels in Punta Cana
 

Can anyone give me info on any of these hotels? Also if one was staying in either of these hotels which is the most recommended? What we are looking for in a hotel is Quality, beautiful beaches, good food, things to do and nice spa for massages. Thanks. Hotels are 1-melia Paradisus, 2- Melia Caribe Tropical Resort 3- Barcelo Bavaro Palace 4-Allegro Resort Bavaro 5-Barcelo Bavaro Beach Golf & Casino and 6- Bavaro Princess. Thanks again.

I stayed at the Paradisus Feb 01 with 4 girlfriends. We had a great time. The food was not great but fine for what we were paying. The beach was one of the nicest I have ever seen. The property was large and very lush. There were people working on it all the time. I have not stayed at any of the other resorts you mentioned but would stay at Paradisus again in a heartbeat.

Me and my family stayed at the Barcelo Bavaro Palace in Feb.2002. This was our first visit ever to the Caribbeans...It was a positive experience. The resort was abosolutely gorgeous the grounds were immaculate, the beaches were gorgeous and the views from our balcony were breath-taking. Already planning on going back next year. We stayed at the Palace so we were able to use the Beach, Garden and Golf resort at no charge to us... Never felt un-safe walking at night or running early in the AM on the beach by myself. Would highly recommend this resort...

A friend and I stayed at the Barcelo Bavaro Beach Resort on July 4, 2001. We absolutely loved it. There is also the Palace and we loved their pool/hot tubs, but the Beach Resort had the best beach. You can eat, drink, and hang-out at any of the hotels in the Bavaro resort. We loved it so much that we are planing out summer trip out there again!

The only thing I can say about barcelo bavaro Palace is that when I was first interested in staying in the resort. I tried calling there reservations 800# (2 months ago) from the frommers travel book and no one ever answered the call. I then decided to email them via there web site. To this day they never contacted me or sent me information I requested on the Barcelo Bavaro Palace Hotel. Did the same with Melia Caribe Tropical Resort and Melia Pardisus and i received several brochures regarding there hotels within 2 weeks. I guess you know where I will be staying. In one reply it was stated "There is also the Palace and we loved their pool/hot tubs, but the Beach Resort had the best beach " There is one beach serving the entire resort and the Palace and the Beach hotels are next to each other - the beach is the same.
