hotel suggestions
can anyone tell me which hotel would be good for 3 girls in there early 30's in st. martin. we would ideally like a hotel that is near everything, upscale and fairly social. We have a reservation at the le meridien and i want to make sure this was a good pick since its so hard to read whats onlne and make a selection. thanks

Le Meridien is a nice hotel but it is very isolated. It's up over a hill and there is nothing near by.
you have to drive to get to anything..I do advise you to rent a car anyway, no amtter where you stay. I think if you are a party of 3 girls who would like to go out at night and go to casinos and clubs and restaurants, you would do better to stay at a hotel like Maho Beach Hotel or Royal Palm.or any other hotel in that area. That is where the heart of the night life is. There is a lot of activity there and there are bars, clubs, retsaurants, casinos, all within walking distance. |
thanks!

I would second the Maho area. We just returned from SMX and stayed at Orient Beach, great place during the day but dead at night. Maho was a 30 minute drive, not fun to drive at night with the roads and especially if you were drinking

Just got back two nights ago from St. Maarten. I would also recommend Maho for you girls. Make sure you go to Cheri's Cafe and see their show. You can have dinner there and I think the show begins at 8:00.
