Hotel Recommendations in Bavaro Beach Punta Cana
 

Hi all! I am hoping you can help me choose a hotel in Bavaro Beach (Punta Cana) in the Dominican Republic. My husband and I are planning on going for New Year's (we are plannig way in advance...) for four nights. So far I know of three hotels: Iberostar, Catalonia and the Barcelo trio of resorts. Any information (specially prices) for any of these hotels would be appreciated since their websites dont provide much. Thanks in advance!!!

I would also try the Paradisius Hotel in Punta Cana - am staying there in July b/c it was highly recommended. Its an all inclusive hotel . .. .will let you know how it is.

Olga and John: I was at the Paradisus in early February and it was top notch all the way around. I think the resorts you're looking at all seem to be somewhat similar in size and amenities. What I liked when researching the Paradisus is that they had 8 different restaurants which was a larger variety than most. Also a casino right on site and horseback riding, snorkling and scuba included in the price. Depending on where you're coming from, your best bet is to find a tour operator near you and see who they deal with. We used Apple out of BWI and I know they run out of NY, Philly and Chicago as well. Also, definitely check out the website Parrot Mom recommended. It's extremely useful although a lot of the resort reviews tend to be conflicting because they're based on personal taste. If I can answer any questions for either of you, just write back.
