Hotel in Barbados

My husband and I are plannng a week long trip in February to Barbados. We do like to be near nightlife (dining and live music) but want a very nice hotel. (Not Sandy Lane pricing though) Any recommendations? It appears the Hilton is close by many things but I don't know anyone who has stayed there. We would prefer not to be in an area with alot of children and I see they offer a kids camp.
Thanks!

The class act is Coral Reef Club. Low rise plantation style on beautiful quiet grounds on the calm water west coast. Family owned for nearly 60 years (and the care shows). Beachside restaurant with entertainment. Close to restaurants, entertainment, and other hotels for same. See www.coralreefbarbados.com

Here's a good list with prices.

I agree with The Coral Reef Club. At a lesser cost we also enjoyed Tamarind Cove and had dinner at their sister property,The Colony Club which seemed very nice with swim up rooms located on the river pool.

We have stayed on the southern coast, but prefer the west coast for the calm, gorgeous water.

I highly recommend the Hilton. We have been there twice. The staff is very pleasant. We stayed on the executive floor, but chose to eat at the breakfast buffet in the morning so we asked at the front desk if we could work something out. For a nominal fee, we were able to do so rather than the smaller breakfast offered upstaiors. We will most definitely stay at the Hilton in Barbados in the future.

There are a number of wonderful restaurants a short drive or taxi cab ride away.

We prefer to be somewhere that has no kids and both times have been there in February and found only 1-2 kids.

the Bougainvillea on south coast has nice condo-style accommodations

Also check out pricing at Treasure Beach (west coast), The Sandpiper and Cobblers Cove. All fantastic properties.

Many thanks to everyone who responded. We decided on the Hilton because of the amenities it offers. Hope the beaches are nice :)
