Honeymoon Suggestions

My fiance and I are having a hard time deciding on a location for our honeymoon. I'd be content spending the entire time at a private villa with its own pool not far from the beach, but he'd prefer to be able to rent a car and explore in addition to enjoying some beach time. Does anyone has any suggestions for Caribbean destinations that can provide enough adventure and beach time for seven to ten days? We've both traveled in central American, which would be an obvious destination, so I'd like to head to an area that we've never been to and that isn't too long of a flight from the US.

Thanks for any help!

Anguilla would be a nice honeymoon destination. We stayed at a villa called Oceana and would highly recommend it. There are many beaches to explore and wonderful restaurants. If you get bored you can take a ferry over to St Martin for the day (shopping etc). The interior of the island is not pretty but the beaches are amazing.
Another destination that comes to mind is Virgin Gorda (scenic with good beaches) in the BVI. I bit more difficult to get to but worth it. You can rent a villa on Mahoe bay and explore the island. You can also take a day trip to Anegada (another island with breathtaking beaches in the BVI chain)or Tortola for more exploring.
Also St John is a good choice w/excellent snorkelling although I prefer VG over St John for its serenity.

We love Jamaica, returning next month and I also loved Anguilla but I would also like to mention Antigua. Great restaurants, zip line, rainforest although small is interesting. Some history on the island and amazing resorts. Easy to navigate a car, the island is small. Adventure Antigua has a power boat that circumnavigates the island with stops to snorkel, soak up some history and have lunch. Hermitage Bay is perfect for honeymooners with your own plunge pool and beautiful views. Galley Bay was another favorite.

Congratulations!

Would you consider St Croix, USVI?

This looks like the idyllic beach house to me:

We did not stay in the beach house, but had wonderful oceanfront rooms at The Buccaneer. We loved it. Just returned. You can see my thread for details:
