Honeymoon? Sandals?!

Hi guys!
I am planning my honeymoon for 9/15/02- but I can't decide where to go!!! From the reviews I have read I have narrowed it down to Sandals Negril, Sandal's Royal Bahamian, Sandal's Antigua or one of the Sandals in St. Lucia. We have a budget of $3000-4000. We are looking for
beautiful beaches & geography in general
romantic atmosphere
some nightly/daily activity- but not too many
We have'nt been to many resorts so I just want a really nice experience- like I am sure everyone else does!! So any info would be great!! Thank you!!!

I have been to all the Sandals you have mentioned except St. Lucia, although we did stay at Halcyon. The Sandals you are looking into do vary alot.

For your price range (but depending on what room category you are looking into), Sandals Bahamas and St. Lucia might be a stretch as they are the most expensive Sandals. Sandals Bahamas and St. Lucia are also going to be alot more active then the other two, more impressive in design, more people, more dining choices. Sandals Bahamas was very nice but personally I felt overly expensive - the beach is not that big but very nice one on the off shore island. Pools are the focal point of the resort. Food was excellent.

Negril and Antigua are more laid back, absolutely beautiful, especially Antigua - grounds are so lush and tropical. Both offer super service, especially JAmaica whee the people are great to speak with and very accomondating - more so then the other islands. Both offer the same activies as the larger Sandals but particularily Antigua will be more laid back. Negril has a wonderful beach as does Antigua, which is much longer. JAmaica is going to be the cheapest but worth spending the extra to get on the beach - sunsets are beautiful. Sandals Antigua is one fo the resorts wehre you can save your money adn go into a lower category as all the room locations are great.

I do have pictures of our trips and other sites that might be useful. Just email me if you want further sites.

Penney

We think you probably can sink your feet in best in Antigua.
The beach in the Bahama's wasn't great, although the snorkeling was something you could do on their offshore island. And the sea in St. Lucia is so angry that it will never let you in. We were in Mo Bay in Jamaica, so can't personally comment on Negril.
The food was better in Antigua than the Bahama's or St. Lucia.
The only dancing we did was in Antigua. In the Bahama's everyone seemed to go to the casino's and St. Lucia's nightlife just was different.
The bartenders were better in Antigua. In the Bahama's you had a tough time getting a bartenders attention and it seemed like the bars weren't open as many hours in St. Lucia.
The sunsets were the most romantic in Antigua.
