Honeymoon in Ochos Rios in May
 

Hi, I am honeymooning in Ochos Rios at the end of May, early June. Has anyone taken the shuttle from MoBay to Ochos Rios and is it scary? How long is the trip? I have read a lot of scary things about Jamaica lately but I was sooo looking forward to the trip! We are staying at Sandals. Is it fun, safe, any advice? Thanks for your time!! :-)

RELAX!! The shuttle is 2 hrs. Stop worrying about all the nonsense you have read. Per the Travel mag. Carib. travel and Life readers poll Jamaica was voetd the 4th best overall destination and 2nd when it came to friendliest people. We have been there 3 times and loved it. Happy honeymoon!

Have a super time , this site is a great help . I found fodors fortunately before we went as you have done , and was relaxed and happy even before we left !! Do not forget to buy some coffee !! Faith

We did take the JUTA bus from MoBay to Ocho Rios and then back for our return. It was very convenient - I did not find it overly scary - but have experience driving being driven in Asia :)

If you are worried sit towards the back of the bus/van where you can't the oncoming traffic. It is a very pretty drive - I enjoyed it.

Not been to Sandals but Jamiaca is great - have fun and congratulations on your upcoming wedding

Hey, we are also staying at Sandals end of May, early June! We are going to Sandals Dunns River (May 30-June 12).

Just returned from Beaches and Sandals Ocho Rios. Stayed 2 weeks and it was not long enough. The ride is about 2 hours but it was a nice ride. We are die hard Sandals people and have been to almost all of the resorts. If you have any ? feel free to email me direct. You will have a super time!
