Aruba - The Hyatt or Divi Beach Inclusive?
Hi,

I'm want to make reservations for Aruba, and I cannot decide on the Hyatt or Divi Aruba Beach All Inclusive. My husband and I don't drink, and I'm a vegetarian.

Please help me with our decision. Thanks!

If you would like to go Upscale I would say choose the Hyatt. The Hyatt is located in the highrise area where there is also many things do in terms of activities. In addition the Hyatt has the most beautiful pool area on the island, very tropical lots of waterfalls, ponds and exotic tropical birds. Hyatt is not all inclusive. I would advice you not to go all inclusive in Aruba as you will be missing on several dozen of fine restaurants on the island. The Hyatt also has a Casino and a beatiful elegant lobby area.

Divi is located on the low rise area near the Tamarijn. The accomodations are not as luxury as the Hyatt and the overall look of the hotel is quiet normal, it is a bit quiet at the Divi in terms of activities. Divi is all inclusive but you will be missing on some great dining experiences.

Both of your hotel options have big differences.

I would say go with the Hyatt.

i agree...go w the Hyatt. Big differences tween the 2 properties. Are you considering the Divi cuz its AI and feel you would budget yr money better? I think that if you are even considering the Hyatt it would be a mistake to go Divi for any reason. Divi cant compare to Hyatt in Luxuery.

STAY AT THE HYATT - rudest people in the world run the DIVI- mold in the bathrooms - all inclusive and terrible food even in the sit down restaurants - we went out every night- so many wonderful restaurants in Aruba. Beleive me the DIVI is a dive!!!!!

Just got back yesterday from the DIVI.We had a great time, don't know when "Chantal" was there but it must have been a while.Hotel choices are personal and should suit your own vacation style..the four of us loved the laid back, on the beach,in the sun, eat when you want drink when you want type of vacation.Otherwise, agree with postings..no reason to pay AI if you dont drink or eat much.

Not much reason to go all inclusive for a non-drinker and one who has a restricted diet. You'll do much better on the economy. As to the two choices, one reflects the urge to go high rise with elevators to the beach and and a lovely property or the laid back more casual caribbean-style of a low rise very nice hotel without some of the glitter. They are different properties and reflect a choice of different lifestyles.

We stayed at the Divi in February and loved it. Our room was one of the newly renovated ones and it was exceptional. It was our first time doing AI. The food, especially at the reservations required restaurants, was very good. I do agree with the others, if you don't drink AI is not the way to go. There are many fab restaurants in Aruba and the Hyatt is a beautiful resort.
