honeymoon in carribean: best bet? Poll
 

Hi,
i am planning our honeymoon for July and would like to know what is the most popular destination in the carribean :
we are interested in
-sandy beaches
-activities to do in the island ( snorkeling-sailing-shopping) and nigtlife (dancing-live music).

definitely a lively destination ( i.e average age <=30years if possible).

BIG CAVEAT : we've been to St Thomas and St John already ( very nice indeed) ,
so we'd like to try out something different from US VIRGIN ISLANDS.

what is the best bet ?

Good beaches, lots of water sports, plenty of shopping, and great nightlife....maybe Aruba?

We have been to Aruba and the Paradise Island, Bahamas. In our experiences, we liked Bahamas. The island more tropical feel, the people seemed more friendly. Aruba - nice as well, but more of a desert island.

Aruba or Grand Cayman

Aruba--consistently good weather, great beaches, many good restaurants. You can do all the water sports right on Palm Beach, shopping downtown, and there is some nightlife as well.
You might also want to check out the Mayan Riviera in Mexico--Playa Del Carmen area is very popular, with lots to do. Look into Royal Hideaway, many people here have honeymooned there--do a search, you'll find plenty of comments.
