Townclose posted for the first time the day that (s)he 'resurrected' this thread to talk about this private villa. Townclose also resurrected other threads to talk about this villa and recommend its location. I'm sniffing some serious ADVERTISING, disguised as yet another tarveler.

nope I'm no advertiser - it's just a really great villa for a great price - I got engaged there - can't help it if I want to share it. I also recommend good airfares on bestfares.com (have to become a member, unfortunately) and other villa rentals for other islands on www.vrbo.com - I'm not advertising for them either... if you can't share your enthusiasm on this website, for a great place you've found, where else can you?

So what I'm hearing is that you really CAN'T make specific recommendations for a place without being pegged as an advertiser? ....

townclose - It is the typical posting pattern of advertisers to post a recommendation for a particular business on the FIRST day that they registered. You do have to admit that you looked very suspicious by topping threads that were months old, just to recommend the villa and the location the villa is located in GC, in multiple threads, on the very first day that you posted here. If you're not an advertiser, my apologies, but we do get a fair amount of advertising in these forums, and they often try to pass themselves as fellow travelers.

We stayed at the Sugar Mill in Tortola last year in the British Virgin Islands. Very quiet, friendly staff and outstanding cuisine. TV's only in suites. Views are breathtaking from the Sugar Mill and while driving thru the mountainous roads around the island. You will need to rent a jeep.
You can sail/ferry to several other islands--St. Thomas, Jost Van Dyke, Virgin Gorda, Peter Island etc. Drive to beautiful Cane Garden Bay in Tortola and rent lounges for the day. Myett's on the beach is great for lunch -- try the conch fritters or hamburgers.
Down the street from the Sugar Mill is Bomba's Shack for music at night and Sebastian's on Sundays.
There is a very nice West-End Marina not far from the Sugar Mill where a lot of boats dock. BVI's are terrific for sailing.

Negril, Jamaica, The Caves!!!!! Go to Island outpost to see pictures. I do not work for any tourist agency or hotel. I haven't been there butm I have read many reviews of "The Caves. My husband and I don't want to sit still for seeral days either. Our vacation itinery will consist of 3 nights at The Caves and then travel to the opposite side of the island, Ocho Rios, to stay at the Royal Plantation. Good Luck

This may be a little late for your planning but what we are planning to do for half our honeymoon is charter a sailboat and sail the British Virgin Islands. You can do as little or as much as you'd like each day and you get to see a different part each day (or stay in one place if you like it). The food is also supposed to be fantastic and it doesn't appear from the list of islands you mention that you've been to any of the VIs.

Crasherino - Just curious, what does the chartered sailing option cost? It sounds great, but may be too expensive.

Its definitely not cheap, but overall, its not any more expensive than spending a week at a top resort like Caneel, Little Dix, Biras, etc. I believe the lowest price ive seen is a tad under $3K for a week. That is for 2 people including the boat, captain and mate, all food, drinks and activities. im not a diver but i believe a number of the boats include that as well.
