Val @ Turks and Caicos Reservations & Top Restaurant Recommendations
Hi~Our family of five will shortly take our first trip to Turks and Caicos. After reading these boards, we reached out to Val at Turks and Caicos Reservations to help us decide between two properties. Val expertly explained the pros and cons of each and helped us land on Le Vele on Grace Bay. Val threw in some extra goodies too which made us glad we called. Thanks Val!
Since this forum has been so helpful, we'd like to reach out to Fodorite's again. What are your recommendations for up-to-the-minute, top-three, don't-miss-'em restaurants? Casual or formal...just want to narrow down our options. Thanks in advance for your thoughts, and for the many trip reports...we're beyond excited.

Coco Bistro, Bay Bistro, Mango Reef.
But here's my breakdown:
Tied for food: Coco Bistro and Bay Bistro
Ambience: Coco Bistro, which is set in a grove of palm trees. But Bay Bistro is a close second if you opt for a table set up on the beach with tikki ( torchlit) service.
Evening out: Mango Reef, but only if you can eat outside on a night that they offer acoustic music.

Weadles--we think alike!
Bay Bistro and Coco Bistro---expensive but not to miss. Reserve as soon as you can. Hard to decide how to rate them #1 & #2. Rack of Lamb at Coco Bistro outstanding.
#3 Coyaba--in the garden, again must reserve and/or Mango Reef(coconut shrimp, of course) (Coyaba Lobster Thermidor or MahiMahi)
Other favorites:
Conch Shack for lunch (Sunday live music 2pm)
Las Brisas for lunch (gorgeous viewsof chalk sound on a sunny day only)
The Deck at 7 Stars (for drinks on Sat. night, NaDa music)
The Grill at Grace Bay Club (beautiful ouside by the beach)

Yes, do try to book soon. Coco is particularly hard to reserve.
And I forgot to add my favorite lunch place- SOMEWHERE CAFE, next to the Windsong Resort. Really good Mexican food and drinks. The upstairs terrace has great views of the water!
