Honeymoon Help in Caribbean
Please Help...
I am getting so frustrated in searching for a nice honeymoon destination. I am looking for a hot climate, beautiful blue caribbean water and white sand. We are looking for an All Inclusive resort and we are not looking for a party life but at the same time we don't want pure seclusion. I looked into Antigua and Turks but I can't get a flight out of Toronto. Anguilla is too expensive at $4500pp and I was looking at St.Lucia, but several people have told me that the beaches are not the beautiful caribbean beaches. To say the least I need a vacation from looking for a vacation. PLEASE HELP I JUST WANT TO BOOK SOMETHING. |
Have you tried looking into the Bahamas? Sandals Royal Bahamian is a beautiful resort and the water is the blue as blue can be.. Sandals has a number of resorts to choose from we have been to just about all of them, if you have any ? feel free to email me.

It can often be daunting for a first time Caribbean traveller to select a destination. Don't panic just yet. You might find it easier to identify the islands you can reach from Toronto (sorry I can't help you with that but you probably can reach most of the major islands). Once you do that narrowing your choices of resorts will be easy. You don't say when you are going but temperatures throughout the Caribbean don't vary much so you'll have no trouble with finding warm weather. As for All-Inclusives, try looking at resorts in the Dominican Republic or Jamaica. There are lots of AI's on those two islands and you'll find the white sand beaches & bright torquoise waters you are seeking.

We've stayed at Sandals Royal Bahamian and loved it. Also look at Grand Cayman. No good AI hotels, but the water and beaches are amazing.
We honeymooned in Mexico. Cozumel to be exact and it was great. We've also been to Cancun and Play del Carmen. Much more cost effective than any other Island. Great beaches, clear water and excellant snorkeling. St. Lucia is a beautiful Island. We stayed at the Sandals Grande. The beach was nice, but we've been to better. St. Lucia is more for sightseeing than beaches. They have wonderful rain forests and waterfalls. I agree, narrow down exactly what you are looking for, price and ability to get from Toronto and you'll get better responses. Here's the link to our picture page. Maybe it will help. You can also e-mail me with questions. We have a "to go" list that we are slowly narrowing down. This year we are going to T & C, Aruba and Jamaica. I don't understand why you can't get a flight to Turks & Caicos out of Toronto. Several major airlines fly from Toronto, including American Airlines, Air Canada and Delta. You should contact a travel agent or look at a site like Travelocity.com. I'm sure you can find a roundtrip fare at a decent price ($4500pp is an extremely over-inflated fare) to Turks & Caicos. You'll almost certainly need to change planes to reach Turks & Caicos but I wouldn't let that deter you.
If you find a good price on airfare to Turks & Caicos, there are numerous resorts at various price ranges and levels of luxury on Grace Bay which certainly qualifies as a white sand beach with beautiful blue Caribbean water. While the vast majority of these are not all-inclusive, you can convert any of them to an all-inclusive simply by booking them along with a meal plan. But, given all the wonderful restaurants on Turks & Caicos, I wouldn't recommend doing that. Rather, you should take advantage of the island's culinary delights by eating at exploring its wonderful restaurants. If you can find a |
What time of year are you going? I can't understand the price you quoted for Anguilla. You can still stay at the best resorts for much, much cheaper and flights from Toronto to St. Martin are offered by lots of cheap charter companies.

When you dsecribed your ideal destination I immediately thought of Couples Swept Away in Negril. We've been there 5 times and even when you're not honeymooning there, it feels like one. There are lots of posts in this bulletin board about it.
