Honeymoon August 2016
Hello all-
My fiance and I need advice on where to go for our honeymoon. We are looking to do a short 6 night, 7 days somewhere, preferably all-inclusive. We will be traveling from Boston, MA and our budget is around $5,000. We have already been to Mexico and are probably going again for a company trip next year so we want to stay away from there and the Dominican Republic. I thought Costa Rica would be perfect since we are looking for somewhere that has an amazing beach but also some adventure away from the beach (i.e volcano's, rain-forest, zip-lining, ATV's etc.) but after some research it seems all the adventure is far away from the beach there and we would rather not stay at two different hotels since we are only doing a week. Any help would be awesome since we have not really been anywhere and there is so many options! -Nicole |
What about Jamaica? Nice beach, good food, fun adventure stuff...Ochos Rios I believe has the Rainforest Bobsled at Mystic Mountain. Supposed to be great. Look it up on tripadvisor.com. Went to Negril in July and dying to go back but to Ochos rios because they have more fun stuff then Negril. Negril was more laid back.
Enjoy...and congrats to you! |
umm, eninajsti, I'm pretty sure you need a passport to enter Jamaica.
Perhaps St John or Vieques would be nice? Curious though, does the military prohibit you from leaving US Territory? Or is that a personal preference? If I may be so bold. |
that was posted on wrong thread, sorry eninajsti

I think St. Lucia would be a nice island for you. They have a lush tropical type environment. They have a rain forest and great tours in open jeeps I would look into St. Lucia as an option.

St. Lucia offers everything that you would need. There will be much to do that is within fairly easy striking distance either overland or by boat. Additionally it is a stunningly beautiful and romantic island. That is one reason the series The Bachelor held two successive finals there.
If I were you I would definitely consider staying in the north (say Rodney Bay area) where there are also good restaurants, night life etc. If you want to get a good perspective of the island written by someone who knows, check out my travel blog. I live in Canada but was born there and visit regularly. Go to: https://www.travelblog.org/Central-A...og-788144.html Good luck. St. martin is also lovely but totally different. |
How about Belize? It's resorts has great wedding and honeymoon packages and at a low cost. let me know if you're interested.
