Help with Xmas Vacation
Where would you go in the Caribbean with 2 teenage sons that has great beaches, good fishing and a golf course.
|
Turks and Caicos.
|
where would you stay in turks and caicos?
|
What is your price range per night?
|
If you're planning to spend much time in the water, T&C might be a little chilly around Christmas time as it's much farther north than the Caribbean islands.
Tell us more about what you're looking for--do you want more of a condo style accommodation with 2 teenagers? do you want a full service resort? What kind of nightly price range do you have in mind? I don't know much about fishing, but Puerto Rico, Jamaica, Dominican Republic and BArbados are all good for golf. Maybe Grand Cayman. |
NO more than $350-$400 per night per room including tax. I want a hotel with all of the amenities,

Hi,
If there into fishing like my 2 teen boys are, make sure you check out the fishing regulations. We just recently spent Easter in St john which is 3/4 protected, which means they dont allow fishing. We rented a villa on the east end, which was not in the bounderies of the protected zones and they fished from shore. My 15yo caught a 5 foot nurse shark(he was fine, and released) and was in heaven. We also researched hawaii(allowed) riviera maya(strictly prohibited) We have also rented a villa in Grand Cayman on the north shore and fished from shore. But once a conservation boat did tell my husband there are certain seasons/areas that fishing and lobstering are not allowed. Susan |
t&c does have the great beach and a golf course. the speciality it bonefishing. caught in shallow water and very fiesty. as ej says however the water temp could be cooler than further south (78-82,according to one web site)
st. john is gorgeous, with some nice beaches. and you can definitely fish from a boat. no golf at all. you could ferry to st. thomas to their course or tortolla which has better course. jamaica definitely has great golf courses and fishing and some very pretty beaches. xmas is Very busy. i would book asap. |
I would definitely consider Grand Cayman.

Definitely look into Western Caribbean (eg Cayman) or Southern Caribbean at that time of year, a little too cold in the water in Turks or the Bahamas :)
Cayman has what you are looking for... a little research on that will go a long way :) |
