Help with Post-Deployment Trip, June or July

My husband will be returning from the desert in June. We're planning a trip alone (no kids)!! We like the looks of Ti Kaye in St. Lucia with one of the plunge pools, but I'm afraid we've waited too late to get one.
We have been to Nassau & St. Croix before. We want a totally relaxing and romantic trip. Would like to stay in the $250 - $350 range. If Ti Kaye is booked Any ideas anyone? Thanks!!

Do you know that Ti Kaye is booked? It's not clear from your post.

No, my husband was supposed to check with Ti Kaye this week, but he must be out on patrol as he hasn't emailed me back to his results. I'm just afraid we've waited too late. It just seems like the perfect place. Nice, but not stuffy, lots to do if we want to, but romantic and relaxing enough to destress us both. I looked at Ladera and Anse Chat. but they are more than what I want to spend if memory serves me correctly. Any other ideas? St. Lucia seems like a really nice island to explore. Any other favorites you have?

Well, even if the plunge pool rooms are booked, you could stay in one of the other rooms at Ti Kaye.

Alternately you could look at the Stonefield Estate Villas, which are located on the hillside near Ladera. Their views are fabulous and there's a restaurant on site. The villas are pretty basic, but some of them do have private pools. There is one 1-bedroom villa with a private pool. It's very pricey, but also check out the Jalousie Plantation Hotel (formerly owned by Hilton), as nearly all of the rooms have private plunge pools. You might be able to book a room there at the higher end of your price range. It was my first introduction to the Caribbean and I've never seen a lovelier location since then.

I agree that St. Lucia is a completely beautiful and romantic island. It's lush and almost other-worldly in my opinion.

Thanks so much for the other suggestions, I'll take a look at them shortly. We're really looking forward to this trip. Keep your fingers crossed that Ti Kaye isn't booked yet, and prayers that we get him out of the desert safely. Thanks again!

Skiwv - I can't help you with your travel plans, but I wanted to tell you and your husband thank you for his service and the sacrifice of your entire family! We appreciate it and pray for his safe return and a wonderful trip for you both.

Thank you both for your commitment and devotion to our country. May you have a very relaxing and extraordinarily romantic holiday!

Thanks to all who have posted prayers and thank you's to our family. We appreciate all the support we've received this year. We are very proud of my husband. He is a wonderful representative of what this country is really like and what it stands for.

He just called this weekend, so I again know he is safe and sound. We have made ressies for the first week of July and booked the last ocean front w/pool room that Ti Kaye had available!!! Only 143 more days to go and he'll be back. Again, thanks for your kind thoughts and prayers.

skiwv, I'm so glad that you were able to get the last cottage w/ plunge pool at Ti Kaye. It's always gratifying to be able to get your first choice, isn't it?

Glad to hear your husband is still safe--may he continue to be until y'all are reunited.
