Help with choosing a Caribbean Island to visit in March

I have been receiving some very helpful advice for a Hawaiian trip I am planning for next summer, however my boyfriend and I (in our 30's) have 5 nights to travel somewhere towards the end of March.

We are looking to go somewhere in the Caribbean. He has been only to Mexico, where I have been to Bahamas (Atlantis) Anguilla (Viceroy) and on three Caribbean cruises. We are looking to relax by the pool/beach, jet ski, snorkel, eat/drink, and visit the spa.
We do not gamble, we are not looking for a nightclub scene, would prefer live music. If the island is safe and has a downtown area we may take a few hours to walk around it. We would prefer a resort that may not be full of children as we are both teachers and enjoy the break every now and then. (although it would never stop us from going to a resort)

Is it worth looking into an all inclusive? I have never stayed at one before except for cruises.
What are some resorts to look into? We would be able to spend up to about $600 on a room per night, however would like to try not to spend that much. We will be coming from Newark NJ so having a nonstop would make things a lot easier with only 5 nights.

Would love to hear any ideas and advice. I have been doing so much research and my head is starting to spin. Thank you!

Turks and Caicos sounds like the place for you. It's small enough to get around in a day, not busy (even in peak season)and amazing beaches, snorkeling and spas! I've booked through myturksandcaicos.com before.

Another vote for Turks and Caicos. It's an easy 3 hour non-stop from JFK on Jetblue, and I think United flies non-stop from EWR.

Grace Bay Beach is one of the most beautiful beaches in the Caribbean, and March is the perfect time for a visit. Just beware of spring break/school break vacation weeks, although Turks seems to draw less spring breakers than other islands.

We've stayed at WEST BAY CLUB, and THE VENETIAN, both of which I would highly recommend. The beach in front of both properties is very beautiful, and quieter than some of the bigger resorts on the mid-section of the beach.

You will need a car for either resort to get to other beaches and restaurants. We've rented with both Grace Bay rentals, and Hertz, but found that Hertz has better cars and service.

Look online and you may be able to find specials at some of the resorts, although March is one of the busiest months on Turks.

I just wanted to add that Provo is very, very quiet. Most activities center on the water, so if you're looking for an active nightlife or real shopping, you'll be disappointed. We love it because the beach is so spectacular, but there's not much else beyond that. Good luck!

I would go further south at that time of the year. Having been to Jamaica in March where it was a few degrees too cool for us, it has made us cautious about choosing an island at that time of the year. If you don't swim in the sea, the temps might not be an issue for you.
