Help with 10 year anniversary please...

I am in the very beginning stages of trying to figure out what to do for our 10 year anniversary and was hoping you all could help! I/we are really up in the air on what to do and where to go but have a few thoughts...

~Probably only can go for 3-4 nights
~Don't want a long flight because of the above (want to get there and get going!)
~Anniversary is in August but don't necessarily HAVE to go then, though it would be nice...but what would be the weather restrictions at that time?

We've been to Bermuda (though awhile ago & weather was bad most of the time so I think we'd consider it again), and I've been to PR and the Bahamas but in college (loong time ago) and for Spring Break so --- not a real accurate experience for either place.

Should we do a cruise? Island? I really need some focus...

Mostly looking to just get away for a few to relax & mark the occasion --- any ideas or advice?! Much much appreciated...

Where would you be flying from? August is in hurricane season but you would know before you left if any storm was waiting in the wings since you're only going for a few days.

I'm sorry, I should have said that...we would be leaving from Boston, at least that would be the most convenient, I suppose we could leave from anywhere on the E. Coast given a good deal. I'd even be open to somewhere beautiful in the states if anyone has any tips...a nice hotel/spa type spot? Just looking to relax, swim, lounge and eat/drink!

Royal West Indies in Turks and Caicos.
Direct flight from Boston, stunning gorgeous beach. Romantic for anniversary. Great little restaurants. Totally relaxing type island with the prettiest water you will ever see.

Probably not the island you were thinking of, what about Iceland. You can get there direct from Boston. Or Key West.

We went to Bermuda for our ten year anniversary, which was in the month of September. You stated you had been there, but would consider going back. It's so easy to get to and you really should have another opportunity to see what it has to offer with better weather. May I also recommend a restaurant for your anniversary dinner? The Fourways Inn is an elegant Continental restaurant that is located in a historic Georgian home. The cuisine is very creative and is based around the freshest local ingredients. They also have a wide selection of excellently prepared vegetables. One of the best wine cellars on the island that offers vintages to complement every meal. It is Business-dressy, jacket and tie required for the guys. Reservations are required.

I second the Provo Turks and Caicos recommendation although I think the Boston flight is only on Sat which would require a weeks stay. American flies three times a week from JFK. If you leave after three or four days you'll wish you stayed longer. Check out www.wherewhenhow.com the on line magazine of the Turks and Caicos.

Non-stop flights to Cayman on Cayman Airways from Boston, but only as far as Easter... but right now $288 round trip :)

I love the idea of Iceland though... non-stop flights on Icelandair from Boston and you can get nice business class fares too (for such a special trip). Iceland in August would be a great choice !

Try Point Grace: www.pointgrace.com

or

Turks & Caicos Club: www.turksandcaicosclub.com

Both small, romantic quiet places in Turks and Caicos Islands.

Non-stop flights from Boston, NYC, Miami on American (airport code: PLS)

My wife and I renewed our wedding vows on our tenth anniversary on a sailboat off of St. John in the US Virgin Islands. St. Thomas is a great place to find romance and beautiful beaches. The shopping and dining are world class.
