HELP - which island to get married on ?

Iam hoping to get married in the Caribbean next Christmas, the trouble is I just can't decide which island !!
We want somewhere with lovely beaches ( as I want to get married on the beach ) somewhere not spolit by tourism, but that has allittle nightlife. Also because our families are coming with us, an island that has plenty of wildlife / nature to offer (as my parents love that side of a holiday )and also interesting things to do and places to visit ( as he has a 10yr old sister and 9yr old brother) So they don't want just a 'beach' holiday.
I have been looking at Grenada, Antigua and Tobago mainly, but Iam so indecisive as all the islands look beatiful !
Any advice would be REALLY HELPFUL (good or bad)

Look into St John, USVI. It is 2/3 National Park for the parents, Caribbean Indian ruins and plantations as well as calm and easy to reach snorkeling for the siblings ( my son loves it ) I believe Trunk Bay was rated one of the 10 most beautiful beaches in the world by National Geographic.

Although most people rate the Westin poorly we stayed there in 2000 and were happy ( I have never slept in a more comfortable bed!) I have never stayed at Caneel Bay but it has lots of fans. Or go to one of the villa rental places. We did that for the first time and will probably not stay in a resort again on St John.

I do not care for St Thomas. We stayed there about 10 years ago and the word is not to go around at night. My husband was bothered in broad daylight on Coqui Beach.

St Maarten has a lot to do (casinos, shopping, beautiful beaches) but it has been built up and I find it too crowded for my taste.

Congratulations and good luck. Christmas is a high demand time for the caribbean.

Kerry,
I know two couples who were married on the beach in Negril Jamaica, and they just loved it. There was no hassle with getting license etc. and where they stayed handled every detail of the wedding. Also, Jamaica was convenient for guests flying from the States. From the wedding pictures I saw, I can't imagine a more romantic setting.

St.Kitts has rainforest & nature hikes, some very nice beaches, great plantation resorts, casinos, and is not as crowded as the bigger tourist destinations like USVI or St. Martin.

We were married on the yacht that is owned by the Grand Lido Negril in Jamaica - we had the yacht to ourselves, at sunset, and it was truely beautiful and very private. They took care of every detail and made it very personal. WE did have family as well, who stayed at neighboring hotels, but came on for the wedding and reception, dinner, dancing afterwards. They turned it into a mini vacation explorong Negril (it relaly is a great area) - they really enjoyed themselves!

Email me if you have any questions - it is such a great experience!
