<BR> Ok hey everyone/anyone who can, i'm looking for help. I recently got engaged and am looking into honeymoons, the only problem is that we are fairly poor. She is currently a full time student in grad. school, and I will be in the fall. We have roughly 1500(though a touch flexible),we'd be going the second week in august, and are looking for places, and ways to get there. But this biggest thing we are looking for is an all inclusive package that has things to do aside from sit on the beach. We want all inclusive to avoid, having to make lots of decisions there. But once again flexible. I just really want to impress my soon to be wife, on my oh-so-very-thin account. Please help me, any ideas are welcome, thanks!

depending on where you're flying from that may be tough to find an all inclusive land vacation on that budget. Have you considered a cruise? It's almost all-inclusive. other than drinks and shore excursions most everything is included. Just a thought.

you might be able to do a 3 night package on a budget of $1500 per couple. what city are you in?

<BR> We'd be flying out of western michigan, which means detroit or Chicago. But we have some frequent flier miles that we could use as well. Right now we are looking at cruises, but still interested in islands. what do you think? even if we should reconsider and look at other ideas....

Josh,<BR><BR>My husband and I just got back from the BVI in October, where we got married on the beach. We are in West Michigan as well, flew out of Detroit. We stayed at Fort Recovery and had a wonderful time. Pamelah, the manager, was wonderful, and since they have one bedroom suites with kitchenettes, we bought beer, wine, etc. at the grocery store, ate out every night (we recommend Spaghetti Junction!) and did 8 days and 7 nights for under $1,500 (didn't include airfare, as we had miles). Flights to St. Thomas are about $450 tops during August and you can take the ferry to the West End - it's wonderful! Weather is the same year round. www.fortrecovery.com is the website. WE DID A 4 NIGHT MODERATE ALL INCLUSIVE FOR 1600 OUT OF ATLANTA, SO IT CAN BE DONE. I WOULD DEFINATELY GO ALL INCLUSIVE OVER A CRUISE. (NO TIPPING OR PAYING FOR DRINKS-CRUISES CAN ADD UP REAL QUICK). DID 2 CRUISES AND HAVE BEEN TO JAMAICA 3 TIMES. WOULD CHOOSE ALL INCLUSIVE ANY DAY!!! I AM NOT A TRAVEL AGENT, BUT HAVE A GOOD BIT OF KNOWLEDGE ON JAMAICA, SO IF YOU CHOOSE TO GO THERE, I WOULD BE HAPPY TO ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS. THERE IS NOTHING LIKE BEING IN THE CARIBBEAN. I WOULD HAVE A LESS EXPENSIVE ROOM AND MAYBE STAY AN EXTRA NIGHT OR DO A TOUR WITH THAT MONEY. LETS FACE IT, YOU WON'T BE IN THE ROOM THAT MUCH. <BR> Hey Laura, where did you go about finding that price? Was it up at a certain time? How did it all go? I'm really interested in that, or an AI(if I can afford it) but am curious how to stay within our budget, and I just wanted to see if you bought it on a deal.

If you're not drinkers, then I'd consider a cruise. Your booze tab at the end of a cruise can be enough to give you a heart attack. <BR><BR>Your cheapest AI destinations (I should say the best values for your money) are Mexico (I'd suggest Playa del Carmen) and the Dominican Republic.

Go to Aruba. Minimal hurricane threat and you can get some good hotel deals and airfares at that time of year. And there is lots to do. Not to mention, the beaches and water are beautiful!

BVI are beautiful, safe with lots to see. It is also affordable. Nail Bay is quite lovely.
