help needed quick Aruba or St.Thomas in the summer

I originally planned a trip to Pamilla in Los Cabos but decided it will be way to hot there for our trip 8/25-9/2/07.I have decided that Aruba or St.Thomas would probably have the best weather for that time period although both places do not appeal to me as much, highrise buildings are not my favorite for vacation.Still thinking about the Hyatt?
Another thought was St.Thomas at The Ritz Carlton.
Thanks in advance for your opinions and ideas.I know they are both very differnt. We really want a upscale beach vacation with beautiful beaches that are not crowded.

Take a look at the Bucuti Beach Resort in Aruba, www.Bucuti.com. It is not a high rise and is on an uncrowded beach.

The Ritz is a low rise and very lovely property on the EastEnd of St. Thomas and not a high rise altho the original resort is build hillside with the newer Ritz Club only being three or four stories high if I remember correctly. In fact, Marriott's Reef on St. Thomas is the only spot that is really a "tower" like most spots on Aruba. Persoally, I don't care much for Aruba at all (due to the high rises and high desisity) and if you are trying to replace Pamilla, the Ritz would come much closer than anything on Aruba.

Remember that hurricane would be less likely in Aruba than in St Thomas.
