Help me pick hotel - please!

Next January our travel club is planning a trip to Aruba. We have a choice of four places: The Mill, La Cabana, Wyndham or Hyatt. Price is not the concern. We want very clean accommodations, ocean view located high enough to see over any trees or buildings, and a balcony. Please share any experiences you may have had at any of these places. This will be our first trip to Aruba.

Hi Patsy: We love Aruba, we stayed at LaCabana which we really liked > Great location nice beach good views and the best part was that the rooms are suites so you have a fridge, stove dining room ect. like renting a condo. If you would not use these facilities and money is no object I would choose the Hyatt. Beautiful property, nice restaurants and lounges, entertainment and right on the boardwalk. The Mill is not located on the beach, unless you mean the Amsterdam Manor which is next to LaCabana.LaCabana is on Eagle beach which is half way between the beach area of Manchebo Beach and the High rise area of Palm Beach. It is less touristy than Palm beach but close enough to the excitement when you want it. Also do not be afraid to use the buses, they are cheap, safe and very reliable. Have a great trip.karen

Hi Patsy:

I would choose the Hyatt first if money is no object. It's the best hotel and has a great location on Palm Beach. It will be busy there though. The Wyndham would be my second choice, also on Palm Beach. THe Mill is not in the class of others at all and I would not consider this a good choice. The problem with LaCabana is that if you some of the rooms are quite a hike to the beach.

Someone once said that there is no real bad choice in Aruba. I believe that to be true. You will have a fantastic time.

Just came back from Aruba two days ago.
stayed in Wyndham and it was great.Highly recommand it. The rooms are big, clean, comes with fridge and coffee maker and every room has a balconey and view of occean. Hyatt is good choise as well but it does not have any casino! marriot is good as well.

The Hyatt does have a casino, and it's a great one. Forgetting the casino, the Hyatt is the best hotel in Aruba with fantastic calm beach, beautiful multi-tiered pool area and great restaurants. The rooms are typical Hyatt, clean, cable tv, fridge, plenty of room in bathroom, but not a Four Seasons level of fabulousness. We found Aruba overall to be safe, great weather (no huuricane season) and the Hyatt to be a wonderful resort. No need to leave it, in fact everyone else comes there to see it from other hotels.
